Welcome to the new Classical Guitar Forum.

CGF is an online community where all levels of classical guitar enthusiasts from professionals to aspiring students to luthiers can share advice, experiences, techniques, methods, and performances.

Based on prior feedback from our tight knit community, we’ve completely revamped CGF from the ground up.  We consistently heard members preferred a flat forum structure.  While we’ve generally kept to the old forum categories, they are now topic categories instead.  In keeping up with the times, we’ve also made the site far more mobile friendly.  Under the hood, the software running CGF “v2.0” is light years more robust, faster, and secure.

We hope you enjoy the new CGF.  It’s great to have you back.

Great to see more and more members returning.  I hope those that are here are finding the new forum structure more accessible.  I’d also welcome any feedback you have.

I’d also ask that you bear with me as I iron through a lot of of the kinks which I’ll call out in this thread.  Currently focusing in on:

  • Links to youtube videos don’t seem to be showing up in posts correctly – no video, not even a real link to the video.  Hoping to fix this soon.
  • Email notifications opt out option.

Quick update on these issues.  Pasting a youtube link seems to work now.  However, I’m seeing one off instances where it does not.  Hopefully will be able to completely iron this out.

To opt out of emaills, please simply unfollow the topic.

dsgoen, did you not get the mass email I sent out to all prior members?  If not, I apologize, we run a very tight budget here and when I sent out the emails (over 1,000), I didn’t think it would try to send them out all at once and ended up clogging (and heavily annoying) my web host.

Either way, I’m glad that you and others found your way back here.  Welcome home :).
