Wondering if there is a way to embed the actual video here?

The youtube video should embed automatically if you just paste the link … looking into this.

[ edit ] Charles, if you try just pasting the link directly from your browser (as opposed to the share link), it should work …

Really enjoyed the album! Great choice of music (much unknown to me previously) and beautifully played and recorded. Was it done in the same church as the video above? I live and have performed in numerous Cambridge venues.

Also, the tones you get are terrific. Geek question: What guitar were you playing on that recording?

Hi Jay,

First off, thanks for your kind words and for ordering my album. That was recorded a long time ago in a church in Harvard Sq, I forget the name of it. We did it overnight as its just too noisy to do any other time there. The guitar in that recording is by Nico van der Waals, built in 1980. Very light spruce/braz, great guitar.

Just for fun…here is what that guitar sounded like live, and what I sounded like as a younger player:

Hi Charles,

Sweet! And yet another piece by Albeniz I hadn’t heard before. Also, I didn’t realize that Nico van der Waals made other than lutes (for which he is well known to me). Thanks for sharing.
