Is this really choro by Cardoso?

On this youtube-video Cardoso himself plays a (well known) piece:

The video is labeled as Choro, but I think he plays another piece.

Does anyone know which one?

No, that’s “Sons Da Carrilhoes” or “Sound Of Bells” by Julio Guimaraes (Pernambuco). Back in the 1950’s someone miss-labeled it as a Choro by Villa Lobos. Most people play the rhythm incorrectly, using two 1/16th notes. It should be  1/8 not and a 1/16th. Go to YouTube and type in “Sound Of Bells.” Tons of people playing it, mostly with the wrong rhythm. I have a correct arrangement by the late Vince Macaluso.

Thanks a lot for your information!!

Now I can sleep again.   🙂

This melody haunted me in my dreams and I couldn’t figure what it’s called.

Thanks for your time!
