Electric Acoustic Classical Guitars

Hi All,

I am looking for some advice on high end acoustic electric classical guitars.

I currently play a classical guitar in an acoustic duo at high volumes & am looking to buy a new guitar.

I am looking at the Yamaha NCX range

The 2000r retails at $6500 & takes 5 months to be handcrafted in Japan.

From there it drops down to the 1200r which retails at $1600 & is made in a factory in China.

Not a lot of options inbetween.

Has anyone played these guitars or can offer a suitable alternative ?

Any help would be most appreciated.

I’m afraid I have no experience with either Yamaha guitar, but since no-one else has answered…

Have you considered having a guitar made for you by an individual luthier? $6500 seems a lot for a Yamaha, even if it is “handcrafted”.  I could build an electro-acoustic classical for (slightly) less than that, and there are plenty of makers in the US who could probably do so for somewhat less, and maybe still give you something of better quality and certainly more tailored to your exact needs than the Yamaha.
