Are my strings carbon?

I have a guitar that came into my possession with black strings that have nuts on the ends (like on a steel string guitar) on the wound strings and a similar set up on the treble strings only smaller and made of plastic so as they don’t need tying at the bridge. I’ve never seen the likes before and have assumed they must be carbon. They are very bright and have an excellent sustain and have outlasted 2 sets on my regular guitar, although I play my regular guitar a lot more often.

I was just wondering if they are carbon and has anybody here see the likes themselves
