Amp Recommendations!

So after a hiatus where I was only playing acoustic for a few years, I’ve rediscovered my love and obsession for electric. I used to play in a post-rock band many years ago, but have since sold most of my gear and pedals.

I’ve decided that I’m gonna pick up a Jazzmaster or jagstang- but I’m stuck on what amp to get. I’m currently playing my old teenage LTD Viper 200FM with a line 6 spider but honestly it sounds way too digital and garbage for my liking. I don’t know very much about amps, but I know that it’s pointless to get a gorgeous guitar and then play it out of a shite amp.

I preferably don’t wanna spend thousands on an amp, but I might just bite the bullet and save to get a Fender Reverb again? Is this the best idea for what I’m looking for?

Things that are probably important to know:

-I need something to use for small gigs -I don’t wanna spend over 1500 -I want to get something that will be part of my setup for a long time, and that I won’t have to upgrade anytime soon

Genres/Style: I mostly play post-rock soundscapes, trip hop, shoegaze, folk and blues, but I also like to dabble in noise.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! I’m not dead set on getting a fender amp either – I’ve also played with some friends’ Vox and Mesa boogie amps as well that I really liked, I just don’t know which models.
